Miniature Sweetgrass Baskets

Miniature baskets are unique, tiny replicas of sweetgrass baskets you might find in downtown Charleston or at a street stand in Mt. Pleasant.  Nimble hands and patience are required and a lot of time to stitch these little pieces.  Minis are very collectible and highly prized as they are not made as often as traditional pieces.  They contain the same materials found in traditional sizes: sweetgrass, long leaf pine needles or bulrush, and palmetto strips used for fastening.
